She remembers glimpses of fire peeking through the trees. She remembers the feeling of the wind on her face and the water on her legs, and then the darkness all around her. She remembers... she remembers... so little of how she came to be, just that she was, and years have ticked on by since then. A blur of the past, a sinking feeling in the present, and an aversion to the future.

If she could soar away and escape it all, she would.

But Olivia Mason knows she can't. The thing is, she's not particularly good at anything. Many Kokiri are great at gardening, tending to animals, and exploring the woods, but she isn't. She gets lost just walking around in areas that were fairly familiar to her, for crying out loud! Still, she's got a serious case of wanderlust, and that only increases every time she catches sight of unusual things in the Lost Woods. It isn't often people stumble in, true, yet it does happen, and oh, what a grand time that is!

It is a large world and she is a very, very small, young individual that isn't sure what to make of her life. For now, what is wrong with studying herbs and making use of what is at her disposal? She has all of her immortal childhood to figure out what her purpose is.
